Natalie MacMahon

Natalie is a director, screenwriter and producer drawn to stories that explore the complexities and contradictions of being human. Her work combines character-driven storytelling with striking imagery, surreal elements and an interest in the often blurred line between reality and perception. Her films have travelled to festivals internationally, with her debut feature The Meaning of a Ritual screening across and winning in multiple countries. With The Human Experience, her second feature as writer, director and producer, Natalie ventures further into psychological and genre-driven territory while continuing her focus on complex female characters and unconventional storytelling.

Camilo Zamora

Camilo is a Colombian multidisciplinary filmmaker and photographer who has established himself within Berlin’s independent film scene. Working across cinematography, lighting, production and photography, he brings a versatile, hands-on approach and a strong visual sensibility to his projects. A long-time creative collaborator of Natalie MacMahon, Camilo previously worked as co-producer and gaffer on her debut feature The Meaning of a Ritual and returns in both roles for The Human Experience.

Tom O’Keefe

Tom is a European-based Director of Photography working across feature films, television, music videos and commercial productions. His cinematography combines a strong visual sensibility with an atmospheric and character-driven approach to storytelling. Having previously collaborated with Natalie as Director of Photography on The Meaning of a Ritual, Tom returns behind the camera for The Human Experience, shaping the film’s distinctive visual world as it moves between intimate realism and increasingly surreal imagery.

Sebastian S. Lopez

Sebastian is a Peruvian Director of Photography with an MA in Cinematography from Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. Working across narrative film, documentary and music videos, his approach combines technical precision with a strong sensitivity for atmosphere, character and visual storytelling. After previously supporting Natalie’s The Meaning of a Ritual, Sebastian returns for The Human Experience as focus puller and additional Director of Photography, continuing an established creative collaboration.

Paloma is a multidisciplinary musician, filmmaker and sound artist working at the intersection of music, cinema and sound. Her creative practice spans filmmaking, performance, composition and sound-based projects, bringing a distinctive sensitivity to listening and sonic storytelling. For The Human Experience, Paloma takes on the role of production sound recordist, bringing her musical ear and experience with sound to the film’s on-set production.

Lesia is a make-up artist and stylist with a creative eye for character, detail and visual storytelling. Her work combines make-up and styling to help shape the individual look and identity of characters on screen. After previously collaborating with Natalie on The Meaning of a Ritual, Lesia returns for The Human Experience as make-up artist and stylist, continuing their creative collaboration and contributing to the film’s distinctive visual world.

Federico Truzzi

Federico is a composer and sound designer creating music for film, games and visual media. Since 2010, his work has focused on crafting immersive and emotionally driven soundscapes, with projects featured at Cannes and the Venice Biennale. After composing the original score for Natalie’s The Meaning of a Ritual, Federico returns as composer for The Human Experience, developing a distinctive musical world that moves between intimacy, tension and the film’s increasingly surreal atmosphere.

Anastasiia Nasonkina

Anastasiia is a sound designer, sound editor and re-recording mixer working across film, theatre and games. With an academic background in audiovisual sound design and advanced studies at Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, her work combines technical expertise with an experimental and creative approach to sound. Aurelia Baier

Aurelia has an academic background in German Literature and American Studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, complemented by studies in Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics at the University of Cambridge. A passionate cinephile with a growing focus on filmmaking, she is currently expanding her experience behind the camera and exploring a transition into the film industry. Aurelia joined The Human Experience as Assistant Director, supporting the team throughout production and bringing her enthusiasm for cinema and storytelling to the set.

Mariia brings an unexpected perspective to The Human Experience, combining a background in science with a growing passion for cinema. Currently studying Chemistry at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, she has also gained experience in festival and event coordination, developing a sharp eye for organization, teamwork and finding solutions on the go. Joining the production as Assistant Director, Mariia stepped onto a film set for the first time, bringing curiosity, energy and a fresh perspective to the team.

Svetla is an architect, digital designer and experimental world builder whose work moves between physical spaces, visual design and immersive environments. With over a decade of international experience across architecture, interiors and digital creation, she brings an interdisciplinary eye for space, atmosphere and detail. Driven by a fascination with futurism, biophilic design and emerging technologies, Svetla joined The Human Experience as Set Designer and Set Runner, bringing her distinctive visual perspective and hands-on creativity to the film’s world.

Momo is a seasoned set dog originally from Peru who has firmly established himself in Berlin’s film scene. With several productions under his collar, he has witnessed long shooting days, last-minute changes, creative chaos and probably more behind-the-scenes drama than most crew members. On The Human Experience, Momo once again brought his signature calm, professional attitude and impeccable set etiquette, proving that every production benefits from having an experienced four-legged crew member around.

Milo

Milo is an emerging film dog already making his mark behind the scenes. On The Human Experience, he joined the team early in pre-production, taking his responsibilities as a strict and highly selective casting agent very seriously. Now in post-production, Milo has shifted his focus to creative consulting, providing much-needed inspiration, regular morale boosts and a reliable reason to step away from the edit from time to time. With enthusiasm, strong opinions and undeniable screen-industry potential, his film career is clearly only just beginning.
